Take Some Time Outside

It’s easy to get outside on the Frontier. Sometimes I forget how hard it can be for “city folk”…

I’d imagine that for most of the other people working in the Montana lacrosse community, the outdoors are essential. It’s either what brought us here, or it’s what’s keeping us here, or both. It’s where I go to re-charge, to challenge myself, and to try and open my mind. The spring season is almost here and so I’m trying to escape to the outdoors as much as I can right now.

Whatever it is that you enjoy, make sure you take time to do it. That may seem like a simple idea, but life can be overwhelming at times and things don’t always go as planned. Try to challenge yourself often and you’ll find yourself rewarded, for the journey and not for the outcome. Spend time away from what makes you comfortable and think about the long road. It’s important to take some time outside yourself.

If you are involved in lacrosse, take some time to think about who you want to be this season – what kind of player, teammate, coach, official, or parent are you going to be?

The Frontier is all about pushing boundaries and exploring the unknown. It’s just “outside the box” a little bit. I spent a lot of time over the weekend thinking about where this can go, where our sport can go, how much we can grow…

Friends, it’s going to be an amazing year. I hope to see you out on the field!
